 Light is a transverse wave, this type of energy that moves in the form of electromagnetic waves.

 The speed of light in vacuum is 3 × 10⁸ and its speed in water is 2.25 × 10⁸ m / sec.

परिभाषा:--

              प्रकाश एक विद्युत चुंबकीय तरंगों का स्पेक्ट्रम है जिसकी सहायता से हम वस्तुओं को देखने में सामर्थ्य प्राप्त करते हैं।

प्रकाश एक अनुप्रस्थ तरंग यह प्रकार की ऊर्जा है जो कि विद्युत चुंबकीय तरंगों के रूप में गमन करती है।

निर्वात में प्रकाश की चाल 3×10⁸ तथा जल में इसकी चाल 2.25×10⁸ m/sec होती है।
